Padma Karpo Translation Committee was established by Lama Tony Duff
to offer others some of the knowledge he has gained during a lifetime devoted
to the Buddhist teaching, and the Tibetan Buddhist teaching in particular:

fine translations of a wide variety of the important texts of the Indian and Tibetan
Buddhist traditions with special focus on the texts needed by practitioners; |

texts especially of the Kagyu Mahamudra and Nyingma Dzogchen traditions, with a
special emphasis on the Longchen Nyingthig tradition; |
 |
a complete system for creating a digital library of Tibetan texts, reference works, and
dictionaries, with specialized software for creating and displaying Tibetan text in pecha
format, and searching the whole library in moments; |
 |
many ready-made digital reference works for the library, all carefully chosen for
study and translation of Tibetan Buddhist texts; |
 |
many digital reference works for the study and translation of Tibetan Buddhist texts; |
 |
the finest Tibetan-English Tibetan dictionary available both as software for local use
and as internet online use; |
 |
software tools to aid the process of studying and translating Tibetan Buddhist texts. |
Lama Tony also established and ran the largest Tibetan text preservation project in Asia
during the 1990’s:
The Drukpa Kagyu Heritage Project. The Committee
has also absorbed the
Tibetan Computer Company which has been a leader in providing
Tibetan computer software since the early 1980’s.
