The point of the seven-branch practice
is to create an intense moment of positive karma
and to set the mind in the correct frame
of openness and receptivity

In response,
the Karmapa removes the Gampopa crown and,
reciting the OM MAMI PADME HUNG mantra
of Chenresig on a crystal rosary,
OM MAMI PADME HUNG
lets manifest the radiant compassion of enlightenment
which is, in virity, His constant heart-essence.
